Tandy is one of the pups who at 5 weeks old lost their mom, a Basset Hound. All we know is what their Momma was, but the Dads are a mystery!

Please come out to Tri-County Farm & Ranch Supply this Saturday, July 19th, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and look over the many kittens and puppies up for adoption! We have been flooded with the rather lively results of unspayed and unneutered pet encounters and are in need of responsible pet parents for our beautiful animals!

Tri-County Farm & Ranch will give a 10% discount on their pet products in the store (does not include pet food, however) to anyone adopting a pet from us on that day!

We are also asking for donations of any kind! We're currently especially needy of kitten and puppy chow as well as cat litter. The need for food is ongoing, as is the need for flea and tick products, shampoos, collars, dips, etc. Please help us if you haven't yet - and thank you very much if you have helped in the past and are helping again!

This brings me to some wonderful developments in our adoption efforts: We have our pets listed on petfinder.com and have seen lots of inquiries and many more adoptions since we launched our website. As a result of our online experience, we just today found a wonderful home for our Lucy who was the featured pet in one of my earlier blogs and in the Cherokee Villager a few weeks ago. This 8 year old dog was our office pet since she was abandoned and she was close to all of our hearts because she is such a well-behaved and sweet dog.

Just as wonderful - Missy, our Papillon-Pomeranian mix found a home with a very nice lady in our community who had just lost her beloved dog to old age. Missy had a rough start but the future looks quite promising for her!

We have four other pets ON HOLD for folks who are making arrangements to pick up or have the animal shipped to them - adoptions in progress!!!

This is so exciting for all of us volunteers! Most of us abhor the thought of euthanasia of a healthy animal because a home can't be found. We are all very psyched about the possibilities for the future adoption rate because we have inquiries as far away as Connecticut, Miami, Colorado, and one from our close neighborhood - Batesville.

SO, I'M ASKING - NO, I'M BEGGING YOU TO PLEASE COME OUT AND ADOPT ONE OF THE MANY, MANY KITTENS AND/OR ONE OF THE CUTEST LITTLE PUPS ON SATURDAY, JULY 19TH AT TRI-COUNTY IN ASH FLAT!!
