Lucy is a laid back Black Lab mix girl looking for a good forever home.

Spring River Animal Services is getting ready to hold a huge adoption drive in front of Walmart on June 19th and 20th. We have lots of beautiful pups and kittens to choose from.

Desperately needed at the shelter are used towels, thin blankets, collars and leashes, kitten food, puppy food, treats, and cat litter. Your donations are always appreciated and can be dropped off at the shelter across from IESI Landfill (1531 Highway 289 North)or brought to the adoption drive!

June 30th through July 2nd, we will hold another low cost Spay & Neuter Clinic at our facility. Appointments are required to get cats and dogs altered and clinics usually fill up fast. Please call 870/994-4445 to make your appointments.

After a lifelong career in administrative support services for various corporations, translator/interpreter for US Army Forces in Europe, Century 21 Realtor and running a successful landscaping business with her husband in Texas, Helga and husband Robert retired to Cherokee Village five years ago. She is a two-time cancer survivor and after having been declared well on her way to recovery, she found her new niche in life: Helping a budding but struggling local animal shelter get as many animals adopted as possible, educating the public about the needs of the shelter and working closely with community organizations and the public to raise funds, promote spay and neuter programs and responsible pet ownership.
