Donovan who had lighter fluid poured on him and was set on fire has recovered and is waiting to join his new family in New Hampshire soon!

The next two Wednesdays, October 28th and November 4th, SPARE (SpringRiver Animal Rescue Effort) is staging a "FILL THE TRUCK" EVENT for shelter animals in the Ozarka College (Ash Flat campus) parking lot from 9 a.m. to noon, both days.

PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A DONATION OF CAT LITTER, CAT FOOD, KITTEN FOOD, PUPPY FOOD OR DOG FOOD AND TREATS TO THE HOMELESS ANIMALS AT THE SHELTER by bringing your donation to the truck (marked with signs) in the OZARKA College parking lot in Ash Flat. Horse feed (sweet feed and senior feed) as well as mineral and salt blocks and equine supplies will also be accepted as we are currently sponsoring horses rescued through Arkansas Horse Rescue.

Please open your heart to these animals - pick up an extra bag when shopping for your own. The shelter is running low on food and needs your help to give them another start in life and good forever homes in the future!

Unfortunately we were never able to find out who burnt that poor dog so the abuser is still out there somewhere. The first Wednesday food drive at Ozarka College was a total flop - not one bag of food was dropped off! We're hoping this Wednesday will be a better turn-out!

Thanks for reading the blog,

Helga

I hope the person who set this poor dog on fire is severely punished.

I also hope everyone turns out and supports the animals and brings food.
