In what is fast becoming an annual rite of passage, two of the state's top-ranked girls' Class 3A squads, the Cave City Cavewomen and the Valley Springs Lady Tigers, squared off in the regional finals once again. Meeting for the fourth time this season, the last coming in the finals of the district tourney one week earlier, the fourth-ranked Lady Tigers (28-5) made it three wins in a row over the sixth-ranked Cavewomen (21-5) with a tight 44-40 victory in overtime Feb. ...

Going up against the top-seeded Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits and Marianna Lee Trojans in the 4A-East Regional in Heber Springs on Feb. 24, the fourth-seeded Highland squads needed to play at the top of their games. But it just wasn't meant to be, because the Lady Jackrabbits and Trojans jumped on the Rebel teams early and didn't let up...
