The rains came and didn't stop June 28, washing out the Fountain Place/Tommy Bolt Classic at the Cherokee Village South Course.

The event has been re-scheduled for July 12 at the South Course.

The 144 player event will have a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. and lunch will be served to all participants following play.

Team pictures, cash hole prizes, free range balls, cold drinks and team flight prizes are all part of the event that bears the name of the 1958 U.S. Open champion, plus door prizes and a silent auction are on tap.

A hole-in-one on hole #8 wins a $20,000 pontoon boat, trailer and motor, a Yamaha Golf Cart on hole #13 from Midlake Marine, plus a hole-in-one on #2 wins an EZ Go ST Sport golf cart from South Central Golf in West Plains.
