He worked for the Burlington-Northern Railroad and retired as a track foreman.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Salem, Ark.
He is survived by: three daughters, Peggy Long of Hardy, Lisa Ladd of Hardy, and Cheryl Foley of Thayer, Mo.; his mother, Katherine Georgene Pickett of Imboden; two brothers, Kenneth Pickett of Conway and Phillip S. Pickett of Hardy; three sisters, Darlene Dearen of Imboden, Linda Briggs of West Plains, Mo., and Connie Morgan of Imboden; two half-brothers, Bruce Pickett of Myrtle, Mo., and Calvin Pickett of Williford; one half-sister, Rhonda Despain of Williford; seven grandchildren, Lauren Allen, Lindsey Bradley, Jared Foley, Jacob Foley, Logan Ladd Hope Ladd and Easton Ladd; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: two sisters, Donna Callahan and Patty Sue Pickett; and one grandchild, Carly Ladd; and his father, Clyde Pickett.
Graveside services were held July 23 at the Lone Oak Cemetery in Lawrence County. Bro. Jackie Pickett officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Ark.
