Lehman Barnet, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Ash Flat, Ark., died July 30, 2008, at The Manor Nursing and Rehab in Poplar Bluff. He was born March 17, 1931, at Alicia, Ark., the son of Marvin and Pearl Nicholson Barnet.

He married Mary Elizabeth Brooks in October 1957, at Evening Shade. He was a dairy farmer and a protestant.

Survivors include: two sons, Corbit Barnet and daughter-in-law, Cindy of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Carol Barnett of Ash Flat; two sisters, Rosa Avenell Christian of Minnesota and Dian Bloesinger of Evening Shade; three grandsons, Ryan Barnet, Jaret Barnet and Eric Barnet all of Poplar Bluff; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife.

Funeral services were held August 2 in Bear Creek Church at Evening Shade with Rev. Larry Morris officiating. Burial followed in the Bear Creek Cemetery at Evening Shade, under direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services of Hardy, Ark.
